Read The Sandman: Endless Night as well as one manga-ized comic starring one of the main cast: Death at my local Barnes n' Noble after work. Fun read. So this is why people make such a big deal on that comic series. I feel compelled to draw Death or at least the entire Endless in general, but I wanna acquire more knowledge on the characters themselves.

As far as Sandman books that I think you'll like, I think you'll dig the 9th book...but for story purposes, I would read them in order because they get progressively more engaging as you get more into it. That being said, don't read the introductions until you're done. D:

Actually, I'd recommend Season of Mists first. It gets you into the idea that these are not stories for children just because these are comics. And then you're all set for the Cereal Convention.
