DP TimeLine

neoyiI've been working on this for a while and since I'm bored, decided to post it up.
The world of DP is something to be said that unlike many American cartoons, the show has a significant level of development for the characters and story itself AKA the passage of time occurs, even if it’s not obviously stated. However the characters all look the same and don’t seem to age despite the level of development. This article is something I did to try to do the best I can to explain how the hell every single episode fit together in one whole coherent timeline, so bear with me.
This is merely MY interpretation of the DP timeline, so you can choose to agree or disagree. If I'm missing anything, then please tell me. I suppose once new DP episodes air, I'll update this.

In the Beginning
God created the world and with it, the Ghost Zone...okay, okay, I'm just being dramatic now. Let's move on, shall we?
*An Ungodly amount of time ago
Pariah Dark, his right hand lackey Fright Knight, and his crapload of armies ruled The Ghost Zone with an iron fist. Every ghost hated being bossed around by this big bully, so the Ringwraiths ghosts--I mean Ancient Ghosts used whatever desperate powers they had and slammed Sauron--I mean Pariah down. They took the Ring of Rage off his finger and trapped him in the Sarcophagus of Forever Sleep, destroyed the lands surrounding his castle, and well…were done with. La Dee Da (Story told in “Reign Storm”).
Sometime Later
Sometime between then and the next timeline written below, the Fright Knight terrorized around. He was well known enough to be written in legends and such even outside the Ghost Zone and into the human world. Apparently, someone must’ve disliked his reign of terror, so they stuffed him and his horse into pumpkins and placed him in the same castle with Pariah (Story told in “Fright Night”).
*Thousands to hundreds of years ago
Desiree is a harem girl from the time of Aladdin where she caught the eye of a Sultan who gave her anything she desired and presumably entered a romantic relationship. Much pooky-pooky occurred. The Sultan’s wife was jealous and banned her. She died of a broken heart--and old age. (Story told in “What You Want”)
*1955-1958
*Sidney Poindexter is a nerdy kid who’s been designated the most bullied kid in school that it apparently became a required graduation project. This would have consequences for Danny some 60 or so years down the line (Story told in “Splitting Images”).
*1963
Jack, Maddie, and Vlad (which I presumed they are all the same age) are born.
*1981
Jack, Maddie, and Vlad build a portable ghost portal in their college lab. Jack unknowingly puts in diet soda inside the main engine of the portal instead of Ecto Purifier, so by the time he pushed the button to activate it; a reluctant Vlad (who was close to the machine) was Ecto’ed in the face, resulting in Ecto Acne to which he spent years in the hospital. (The year 1981 comes from a college yearbook in “Secret Weapons”, events told in “Bitter Reunions”).
*1981 and beyond (alternate timeline)
Danny travels in time and causes Jack to accidentally have Ecto Acne and not Vlad whom saves Maddie from being blast and experience love at first sight resulting in their marriage and Jack to be Plasmius.
*Between 1981 and 1983
Vlad spends some time in the hospital. There I can assume he spent those times thinking about the incident, discovering his powers, and basically the thoughts that occurred him to become the man he is in the current present time period.
*June, 1983
Vlad robs his first one million in a Wisconsin bank using his ghost powers (Date and year told in newspaper in “Kindred Spirits”).
*Between 1983 to 1988 at least
Jack and Maddie graduate from college (if we can assume they attended college in 1981, they should have graduated at least by 1984. “Bitter Reunions” also hint 1984 as the graduate year when they celebrate 20 years of their college reunion in Vlad’s manor, although that is if you assume DP first starts at 2004). Whether or not Vlad graduated is unknown. He probably got his degree between this year and when DP starts. *shrugs*
*Between 1983 and 1997
Vlad became a billionaire sometime between these years (Story and magazine cover proclaiming Vlad “billionaire of the year” in 1997 told/shown in “Kindred Spirits”)
*1986
Jack and Maddie hitched and eventually moved to their home in Amity Park to continue their ghost work and raise a family. (Number of years of marriage hinted at in “Prisoners of Love”).
*1988
Jazz is born
*1990
Danny, Sam, Tucker, Dash, Valerie, and a whole bunch of other freshman kids are born.
*March 3, 2004
Upon Sam’s suggestion, Danny goes inside the ghost portal, accidentally presses a button, and gains super power, thus turning into Danny Phantom for the first time (Flashback in “Memory Blank”)
*April 3, 2004
The events of "Mystery Meat occurs". (Danny stated in “MM" he’s had his powers for a month, the April date I added merely due to the actual airdate of this particular episode, so I'm just gonna go with that assumption).
*Between April 3, 2004 and May 9, 2004
"Parental Bonding, One of a Kind, Attack of the Killer Garage Sale, Splitting Images, What You Want, and Bitter Reunions" all occur.
*May 9, 2004
"Prisoners of Love" occurs.
*Between May. 9, 2004 and Oct. 26, 2004
"My Brother’s Keeper, Shades of Gray" (there’s actually a calendar in one scene in this episode that states it is April, so unless timeline wise this takes place before, one can assume some lazy employee forgot to change the calendar or something), "Fanning the Flames, Teacher of the Year, 13, and Public Enemies" occurs.
*If these dates are correct, Danny and friends should technically be in their sophomore year as there is a summer that occurs between these months. Instead, he’s still stuck as a freshmen (it seems to imply). It seems the characters do suffer a no age policy, which makes this timeline even harder then usual, and having to rely on some aspects of disbelief in some cases.
*Between Shades of Gray time period and Kindred Spirit Time period
Vlad researches Danny with Val's suit to create the perfect clone sone. Dani Phantom could theoretically been “born” sometime between the events of “Shades of Gray” and "Kindred Spirits". Why she was not active till “Kindred Spirits” could merely be Vlad testing her/having her survive in test tubes till her time or her creation was fairly recent.
*Oct. 26-31, 2004
The events of "Fright Night" occurs.
*Between Oct. 31 and Dec. 24, 2004
"Maternal Instincts, Lucky in Love, Life Lessons, The Million Dollar Ghost, Control Freaks, Memory Blank, Doctor’s Disorder, Pirate Radio, Reign Storm, Identity Crisis, The Fenton Menace, and The Ultimate Enemy occur".
*LiL is harder to fit because the weather looks sunny and bright enough to go to a water park of all places when the date I have above is clearly taken place during the Fall/Winter years, so unleash they suffered some bizzare heat wave, this is another case of taking it with suspension of disbelief.
*Danny hinted at the end of “Identity Crisis” that that episode takes place during the summer, but it seems highly questionable since the trio tries to spend a weekend of fun when they have all summer, theoretically. Perhaps they are still in their school year and he mentions just leaving the house until summer season is over.
*Sometime between Oct. 31, 2004 and 2014 (Alternate timeline)
Danny’s friends, family, and Lancer are killed in a Nasty Burger explosion, causing him to be orphaned and live with Vlad. Honoring his wishes, Vlad rips out Danny’s ghost from his human self. Ghost Danny goes postal and rips out Vlad’s ghost self from his human self, then possesses it, resulting in the birth of Phantom. Phantom kills Danny’s human self, blows up Vlad’s manor, and then reins terror for ten years.
*Dec. 24, 2004
The events of "The Fright Before Christmas" occurs (I assume it takes place in Christmas Eve).
*Between Dec. 25, 2004 to June, 2005
The events of "Secret Weapons, Flirting with Disasters, Micro Management, Beauty Marked, King Tuck, and Masters of All Time" occurs.
*Between Dec. 25 to June, 2005 (Alternate Timeline)
Danny screws up the past that causes Jack to be the one with Ecto Acne and Vlad married to Maddie. Danny fixes it up though and everything goes to normal, so this paragraph is pretty much obsolete, but I'm mentioning as much timelines as I can.
*June, 2005
The events of "Reality Trip" occurs (one assumes Casper High starts summer vacation during June which is basically the most common month for school to end for the summer).
*Between Sept, 2005 to Nov, 2005
The events of "Double Cross my Heart" and "Kindred Spirits" occur.
*Again, theoretically, if this is the timeline that is to be followed, Danny and friends should rightfully be in their junior year. However, it is hinted in “Reality Trip” Danny and friends actually passed the 9th grade when summer vacation starts (Jazz stating she still had a year and a half left of high school) and one can assume events after places them in their Sophomore year at least unless they are AGAIN in their freshman year due to the whole lack of age thing or they really suck at school work. GAH, inner scream.
*Nov, 2005 to at least Spring, 2006
"Eye for and Eye" occurs as Vlad runs for mayor and wins elections against Montez (My politics isn't too sharp, but I think elections for mayor usually takes place in November).
"Infinite Realms, Girl’s Night Out, Torrent of Terror, and Forever Phantom" occurs.
*Seems to indicate at least Spring, 2006-time period and beyond
The events of "Urban Jungle" occur. I'm gonna assume the season of UJ is the springtime because I think theoratically, it's the best fit.
"Livin' Large" occurs.
2014 (Alternate Timeline)
Valerie Gray is Amity Park’s sole protector with her father as the guy in charge of ghost shield security as Phantom reigns terror over the world…until his past self stops him and changes the timeline.

Grade nine (or freshmen year, as you Americans call it) for Danny and his friends and everyone else in his grade would take place over 2004-2005. I know that the series debuted in April, but going with canon continuity, I think it makes more sense that Danny first got his ghost powers when grade nine started for him. This is how I assume that his birthday is sometime in June-early August. A month of school has gone by, so there has been time for socail groups to start. When Dash says the whole "Highschool will be the prime years of my life blah blah blah line." I take it that when DP starts, it's late September. Most of the my state side friends start school in August. I take his birthday as being in June-August because, as the opening states, he was 14 when he got his ghost powers. And he's already in school when he's had them for a month. So with this, I place Danny getting ghost powers in late July/early August. If Danny's already been banned from using delicate objects for life in school, then enough time has to have gone by for the school to take notice of Danny's freak accidents.
Going by DP starting in 2004 and Danny entering grade nine then, he had to have been born in 1990. I know this because I was in grade nine for the 04-05 year, and I was born in 1990. Sam showed Danny a picture of them and Tucker during Memory Blank, claiming it was from eighth grade. If you look at her photo diary, the pictures from Danny going into the portal come shortly after that. Sam also says that she convinced Danny to go into the ghost portal a few months ago in Memory Blank, so the three of them are still in grade nine at this point. This leads me to believe that the second season starts with them still in grade nine, after Hallowe'en, yet before Christmas. Still 2004, so around November. (August to November counts as "a few months" in my book) Which also leads me to believe that Danny was just starting grade nine when he got his ghost powers.
Anyway, that's the way I see it. I don't mean to contradict anything you've done, it's just how I work out some of the non-aging issues and aspects of disbelief. I know that it's all bright and Sunny during Identity Crisis and The Fenton Menance, and it's before Fright Before Christmas, so... I don't know. I believe that cartoons only show changes in seasons for holiday specials. And that they are either stuck in a constant spring-like season, or global warming has seriously made it sunny on all days but Christmas (the same thing happens with the Fairly Odd Parents Christmas special, so I think Butch just makes his cartoons like that).

But if Danny was born in 1990 then the same thing would have happened to him. The first half of 2004 would have been grade eight and the later half in 2004 would be grade nine. The school year for his grade nine would be September 2004 to June 2005. However, if Danny was in grade nine during April 2004, that means that his grade nine school year would be September 2003 to June 2004. If that was true, then Danny would have to have been born in 1989 for that to be possible. I was born in 1990, I turned 14 in 2004, and grade nine was 2004-2005. If Danny was born in 1990, the same thing would apply for him.
I'm really trying to make sense here. It works, I know it does. I'm living proof and so is everyone else in my grade.
