I think they did a lot with Max and you can see her character change and her relationship with Terry evolve. She doesn't remain static and gets even more development than Dana.

Dib as he appears in most of canon is cute. Older!Dib as seen in "Dib's Wonderful Life of Doom"? OMGSEXY.
