Got a question

A lot of people have been asking for permission to use parts of my stories from my current ongoing DP Season 4 profiles for their own stories. I told them even if they did give me credit, I rather they DON'T do it, if not because I feel insecure and protective of my own crap (Plus I rather encourage them to be inspired by others and make their own). I worked hard on these stories and I plan to potentially make story fanfics or summaries on how it'll go and well, my stories/art/whatever are like my babies to me, minus the drooling and excessive pooping.

Am I being selfish or what? I don't mean to be, but am I? Is this good or bad or what?

You are not being selfish. These are your own ideas and creations and it's your right to say what can and cannot be done with them. I understand your discomfort- I bump into the same problem. We aren't working at the same level as the creators of canon and thus what people do to our stuff does reflect back on us and does limit us. I think you might want to consider making a polite statement on your dA journal explaining how you feel. Your fans will respect that. :)

There's nothing wrong with that. It's your stuff. You have the ability to choose to share or not share.

On another note, I'm glad you gave Dani a fair chance in season four, rather than just killing her off. I happen to really like Dani. I can't help but be a sucker for her. She IS Danny in a sense, plus she never appeared as annoying to me (except for maybe her voice at times, but I blame bad choice of actor.). But I digress.

Can't wait to see what fanfics/summaries come up for season four.

I agree, I'm pretty protective of my ideas/concepts as well so I know the feeling. I even feel bad sometimes when I find out someone else thought of something before me.
And it's even more reasonable seeing how you haven't even written anything out yourself. You don't need someone else coming along and doing that you wanted to do before you got to it, using your ideas.
